No, its a mouse! That's right. What an awesome idea to take a simple device that gets used everyday and hardly noticed; and turn it into something cool and interesting. I have not really seen to many companies devoted to this type of modding, but I really think it would sell very well. When I saw this mouse on Ebay I just had to buy it. It looks like a pink VW Bug. It's a little small for a mouse, but the rear lights on it light up when the LED is activated. The front lights have blue LED's that stay lighted when the mouse is plugged in. Very cool, and an excellent gift for the Mrs'.

At the top now are links to login/register for my site, and there are working links to my Image Gallery, Forum, and Chat. The toolbar for posting comments also have some cools features, such as adding MSN emoticons and a spell check utility. Check them out, its all pretty cool. I don’t have any images in the gallery yet, those are on the way, but the forum and chat are good to go. Feel free to check them out and let me know what you think.

Well the other day I got word that Chevy, division of GM was doing a new marketing program for their Tahoe line of SUV’s. Basically its a contest where you can make a commercial for Chevy using a Macromedia Flash interface. You can choose about 12 frames or so, either from basic colors, or pre-made frames showing the Tahoe and some background, to which you can add text. Once you got things in motion how you like you can choose from 8 or so different music tracks. Once your done you send it off to Chevy, but you can also email it to yourself.
Well some environmentalists got a hold of this contest and they told Chevy how they felt. I guess I’m an environmentalists, because I’m against destroying the planet, especially with a stupid invention like the SUV. Well anyways I decided to do my part and I made a commercial. Below are the links

About 5 awesome commercials
Make your own commercial
And of course, my favorite, my commercial. Please let me know what you think. Pay attention quickly and early, the first few frames move fast.

Well I saw "V for Vendetta" last night. What a phenomenal movie. It had everything I like in a movie, great acting, directing, writing and some awesome action. But it also was a great story. Right from the beginning you find yourself trapped into the film in part by the performance of Hugo Weaving who played V. His performance will not win an Oscar but it certainly was not an easy role to play since he did the entire movie behind a mask. What also brings you in is the struggle you have throughout the film with your conscience. V’s tactics for overthrowing the government are pretty intense. He doesn’t just ask for the resignation of the "High Chancellor" of England, or walk around Parliament holding up a sign. No he blows up buildings and kills people. You find yourself thinking, do I really feel empathy for this charactor, what side am I on? Or better yet, which side is good? This is why the movie has had some protests and backlash. Some are making claims that the movie promotes terrorism. Well if this is the case than our current government has done the same thing. You don’t believe me, look up the definition of Terror and Terrorism.

Being a computer geek for the last 6 years I thought I would never had made the above statement, but I must say I am impressed with the company. I ordered a laptop from Compaq last December and I have loved it ever since. The laptop is well engineered, quiet, powerful, and sexy. It is perhaps one of the best systems I will ever own. I made sure to get the accidental insurance for it since I am incredibly clumsy. And it payed off.
Like an idiot, I stepped on the power cord of the laptop when it was plugged in, and I ripped out the AC Adapter port plug. This is the tiny little piece that your power cord plugs into, that is inside the hole where the power cord goes into the laptop. Even though the power cord looks like a male plug, it is actually female, and the male plug is the tiny piece that I am trying to explain to you. Normally it is not detrimental to the laptop to lose this piece, since if it comes out, it is going to come out with the power cord. This was the case for me, but after using the laptop for awhile and not realizing that the piece was missing before little battery life was left, this created a huge issue for me. The only problem I have had so far with the company was when I was trying to explain the aforementioned problem to the tech support person. They were not American, which did not help and I had to tell them the problem had nothing to do with the power cord multiple times. It was a fun experience explaining my problem. But once we were on the same page, everything else was a breeze. FedEx is being sent out the next day to pick up the laptop for me. All I have to do is box it up. I am a very happy customer and I must say I can definitely recommend HP/Compaq computers and laptops.

Well last night my girlfriend, another couple, and myself went to a comedy club in our town called the Funny Bone. For all of us it was our first time, and I can guarantee it wont be our last. The headlining comedian was a man named B.T. Wow he was absolutely hilarious. He was so funny that I seriously almost peed my pants. I had to get up and go to the bathroom late in the set it was so funny. His intro was a great set up for an hour of hilarious comedy. He came out to some AC/DC rock, which was odd since he was black. He ran up on-stage to loud music and started singing the lyrics. This continued for about 30 seconds or so, when out of the blue the music stopped. B.T. froze in his singing position and said, "… And that’s when I was kicked out of the ghetto." In only took a couple minutes into his set before everyone was howling with laughter. He was extremely charismatic, full of energy, and was just downright funny. If you ever have a chance to see him perform, jump to it, and pay extra for the closer seats. I can give you my word, you will not regret it.

Man I cannot wait. This June AMD will release its new socket line AM2 along with a group of processors to outfit it with. I haven’t seen if Asus or any other motherboard makers have new products to show off yet, but this new socket line is supposed to have some amazing features such as support for quad core CPU’s, and DDR2 memory. The performance difference between one socket 939 4800, and a socket AM2 4800, as of right now is minimal, but with the introduction of DDR2-800 in June the performance gain should be greater. The point of AMD releasing the AM2 socket line is more for future technologies than for an improvement in whats already available, so for this reason PC enthusiasts might want to hold off on jumping to purchase a new AM2 CPU and motherboard. Another reason for the enthusiast to hold off is because that nice shiny new heatsink you purchased will not be compatible with the new socket due to a change in screw holes. So heatsink manufactures are going to have to come out with kits or new stuff. But those looking to upgrade should wait for the new technology and purchase it rather than build a socket 939 system, that way you will be ready for the 65nm CPU’s AMD will launch in about a year.
The greatest thing about all of this though is that AMD has the market power now to hold back on release dates, whereas two to three years ago they were not powerful enough to be able to do so. The AM2 line was ready to be released this last December. Now that they have beat Intel in numbers and performance on the stock market they can say, "Nah, let’s wait for that new technology, then push our new product out." Either way it will be fascinating to see what both CPU giants accomplish in the next year.

Well instead of fussing around with old technology in my computer, I took my friends advice and I’m gonna take in-store credit from Monarch and upgrade the dinosaur I call my computer. It’s really exciting for me because I have never really been so close to the forefront of technology as I will soon be. I’m gonna save money and just go with the socket 939 AMD 3000, but I will have a nice new motherboard from Asus, and a PCI-Express NVidia 7600 Video card
. Can’t wait.
