Check out this awesome video . It is well done and really tells the message in a seamless way. The message being that it is time to speak out about our government. The days of sitting on the side and assuming that the government actually speaks for you is gone. Check out the links at the end of the video, and my Political and Do Something links if you want to change the world.

I'm not sure if Bush is so ignorant that he doesn't realize Stephen Colbert is making fun of the right, specifically Bill O'Reilly, on his show, The Colbert Report. But this would be the only reason why Bush would have had Colbert invited to the White House Correspondents Dinner, and give a speech. Well needless to say Bush and his wife Laura, were visibly not laughing or smiling at all by the end of his speech. To give you an idea of how it went here is a quote from Colbert at the occasion, "[…] ratings are based on reality, and reality has a well-known liberal bias."
The rest is a must read over at Editor & Publisher.
Also check out the videos here. You have to scroll down a bit.

Sorry if your comment hasn't shown up, I forgot about my Spam filter I have installed. I figured it wouldn't be as good as it is, but it actually caught a couple comments that I just allowed. So if you leave a comment and it doesn't show, please let me know.

If you don't see much posting its because I'm trying to finish out this semester with my hair still in tact. When I get the time I plan to have a cool post on setting up a secure network that has free hotspot access for people. Along with some other things.

Here is a link to a great music video: Outlandish - Look Into My Eyes. For those of you that are unaware, this song is about the conflict between Israel and Palestine. The song is told from a Palestinian point of view, and has metaphors to help show what Israel is doing to the Palestinians, such as the wall that was built to "cage in" the Palestinians. Other references include the checkpoints that are everywhere that keep the Palestinians from leaving, and being treated inhumanly. I really like how Outlandish used the story of Little Red Riding Hood to get the message across. It's simple but effective.
The song itself is based off a poem written by, Gihad Ali, and follows the same premise as the song, but I do like the poem more because there are lines that were left out of the song, and I believe those lines are powerful and help to signify the message being said. My favorite lines from the poem are what Outlandish used as the chorus,
Yet do you know the truth
of where your money goes?
Do you let your media deceive your mind?
Is this a truth that no one knows?
Excellent questions because I think many Americans do not realize where their money goes all the time.

So one thing going on at work is an LCD monitor that the other Lab Tech and myself use. Well it's not the best monitor; unfortunately you have to wiggle the power cord to get it to work. The other Lab Tech rigged it so that we wouldn't have to wiggle it. He put some folded up paper between the outside case of the LCD monitor and the housing for the power cord. This worked until recently when the problem came back again. So I opened the monitor up to take a closer look and found the printed circuit board (PCB) below.

Above are some really cool pictures from last nights thunderstorms. Nighttime pictures come out really cool on my phone for some reason. But after my encounter with a real life tornado, I have come to witness the beauty of the destructive force of nature. It truly is unique to witness something in life such as a thunderstorm or tornado, because you never realize how much awesome power nature has till you see it. But anyways I really like how the pictures turned out, especially the other twenty from last night… Look below for an example of one of the twenty others.

Yup, its the only problem with trying to get a good picture of a thunderstorm or lightning bolt. It takes many attempts to get it right. But as the four pictures above show, it is well worth it.

No, its a mouse! That's right. What an awesome idea to take a simple device that gets used everyday and hardly noticed; and turn it into something cool and interesting. I have not really seen to many companies devoted to this type of modding, but I really think it would sell very well. When I saw this mouse on Ebay I just had to buy it. It looks like a pink VW Bug. It's a little small for a mouse, but the rear lights on it light up when the LED is activated. The front lights have blue LED's that stay lighted when the mouse is plugged in. Very cool, and an excellent gift for the Mrs'.

I don’t have any images in the gallery yet, those are on the way, but the forum and chat are good to go. Feel free to check them out and let me know what you think.

Well the other day I got word that Chevy, division of GM was doing a new marketing program for their Tahoe line of SUV’s. Basically its a contest where you can make a commercial for Chevy using a Macromedia Flash interface. You can choose about 12 frames or so, either from basic colors, or pre-made frames showing the Tahoe and some background, to which you can add text. Once you got things in motion how you like you can choose from 8 or so different music tracks. Once your done you send it off to Chevy, but you can also email it to yourself.
Well some environmentalists got a hold of this contest and they told Chevy how they felt. I guess I’m an environmentalists, because I’m against destroying the planet, especially with a stupid invention like the SUV. Well anyways I decided to do my part and I made a commercial. Below are the links
A bloggers commercial
About 5 awesome commercials
Make your own commercial
And of course, my favorite, my commercial. Please let me know what you think. Pay attention quickly and early, the first few frames move fast.
