Thanks for posting the 755 iso. We replace about 160 computers per year, 95 this year, and they are all 755's. I have always created boot disks for both usb and network purposes in the past but your iso saved me about a half day of messing around. I'm still having to go into the bios and change to ATA in order to get the disk to run but that is an issue I've had with both Dell and Lenovo lately.

Again thanks for taking the time to post this and share.

That's because you have either a hard drive or hard drive controller that is not well supported by ghost. In which case I might recommend trying Clonezilla. I plan to write a post on that at some point because my Ghost work is more for the Corporate folk that cannot switch because of red tape. Clonezilla is a much better application with a much broader base for hardware support and works pretty much flawlessly once up and running. Oh and it's almost twice as fast as Ghost because it's Open Source and has little bloat.

Now on to your issue ;)

I would try getting your hands on the newest version of Ghost you can, like Solution Suite 2.0 if you can and make a boot disk set. Grab the ghost.exe from that boot disk set and drop it on the CD you created, do not use my Ghost.exe. This might solve your problem.

Meh, I don't see it like that, and I'm not sure that there's much of a strawman there. Just because some people grow vegetables so that we get salmonella and eColi, doesn't mean everyone does, so we don't need the tyranny of the FDA. But people want social and economic stability and the ability to trust food.

I happen to think that certain fields that are spent living outside the mainstream milieu would tend to make a person live in their head and wouldn't have the necessary social feedback conducive to healthy ethics development.

I think there are bio-ethicists, I'm not sure that many other science fields have them. And because some specialized fields wouldn't have the required feedback for the ethics development, there should be much more of those types of social awareness classes and components to the basic science Masters degrees and doctorates.

Education by default does not make people responsible or ethically better by itself. In my experience, education makes people less ethical because internal logic can be convoluted away to justify just about any outcome when the desire is there. An example would be a stock picking contest that was held last year. It was won by a waitress after five wall street professionals were disqualified for cheating and gaming the system.

I have no script created to do this process, though at some point I might write one. The process I used to create the 755 is documented all the way at the top in this post. If you have trouble following it, just comment what that problem is and I will try to help.

For right now I just moved and got a new job, so I do not have a computer up and running that I do this work on and I have no Internet at home. So support may be a little sparse till I get things up and running 100%.

If there is something that sucks even worse than Comcast, why are people worried about the LHC causing a black hole?
