Least Favorite and Favorite Politicians Meme
Meme from DOF wants us to write up about our fav and least favorite politicians. Here are the rules and the post from him…
Choose your 5 favorite and 5 least favorite American politicians dating back through your parents’ generation. Give an explanation no more than three sentences long for each one. The politicians need not be well-known. If you’re really an incurable political junkie, you can go 10 and 10 with the same limitation on explanation length. I’ll probably go with 5 and 5.
When you get your post ready, email me (as in DOF), or leave a link back to it in the comments (for the post linked above). I’m looking (as in DOF) forward to reading what everyone comes up with! Hope several people will decide to participate.
I had to edit the above, cause it came from DOF and not me. But here we go.
Favorite:
- Bill Clinton: DOF summed up a lot of my feelings on Billy Boy. The only thing I would add is that a lot of his accomplishments on foreign and national policy were due to his ability to work with others. He had an uncanny ability to get thing done by working with people.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger: ever since his victory moronic leftists have been crying about his corporate ties. Funny thing is, he is one of the few politicians that has not pandered to them. In fact he has actually called some of them a bunch of girly men which I find hilarious. I would love to see the constitution changed so he could be vice prez under Obama’s administration.
- Russ Feingold: an outstanding Senator from Wisconsin that stands up for what he believes in and votes accordingly. Like Obama he says what he means and means what he says, which his voting record shows. In some ways I’m glad he isn’t running for president cause choosing between him and Obama would be tough. However it would be nice to see him as Vice Prez under Obama.
- Jim Ryan: the “Should have been Governor of Illinois”, but got screwed by the voting morons. Yes people actually believed he was related to our former governor George Ryan and this screwed Jim Ryan out of a political seat. And sealed the deal for Rod Blagojevich (Look below for him…). He’s not necessarily a fav, but I liked what he stood for and his background.
Least Favorite:
- George W. Bush: There really isn’t much to say here.
He has destroyed the Bill of Rights and the Constitution at every conceivable moment (even though he swore to uphold them), he sold an image of Reagan to get in (he bought his farm during his campaign to use it as a backdrop), he’s destroyed Science as much as we allow a president to, he panders to the religious conservative, I could go on forever…
- Al Sharpton: first off, he gives liberals a bad name, I would like to say he doesn’t represent liberals, at least not me. He is extremely racist and biased to African Americans and uses this bias to push forward his agendas. I have seen discussions he was a part of where other Black leaders called him out and he just kept screaming and interrupting to make his point (which was utterly worthless). He really does nothing for politics but create a further divide between sides and races.
- Karl Rove: not really a politician, but the man that gets many a**holes elected. The entire image we see as Bush the President was created by this man. And that gives me the right to place a lot of the blame of our country in his hands.
- Rick Santorum: this guy is just a clueless moron, that was also summed up better by DOF, than I could ever do. He doesn’t understand or care for Science and has blocked it at every possible turn in favor of ideology.
- Tom DeLay: just click the link and watch the PBS special on Tom DeLay for my reasons for hating him. If the link doesn’t work search for (without the quotes) “Moyers on America Capital Crimes”.
I know I cheated with the last one being 6, but I just couldn’t let DeLay get away. And really he should be #1 on my list, but I really didn’t define an order for the list. Anyways, if you want to participate in the meme, go over to DOF’s site, the link is above, and leave a comment with the link to your post.

Welcome to my blog! Topics tend to focus on Science and Technology, but I throw in personal stuff too. I hope you enjoy!

Good list, Webs! I especially liked your comments on Al Sharpton and your inclusion of Karl Rove. Rove deserves to have a blade dropped on his neck for his divisive and bigoted politics.

I’m convinced that if there’s a devil, this guy sold out a long time ago!
