A Lesson From Dr. Seuss
A story from one of the greatest writers of all time… Feel free to read it and pass it on.
The great thing about about Dr. Seuss is that anyone can understand the message he is getting across, adults and children. I first read/heard this story when I was a young lad. I can’t remember exactly how young but I know it was a while ago for me. And the cool thing was that it had a profound impact on me.
I had always heard from people to not discriminate, and essentially that judging people was wrong. And I listened to the message people told. But for some reason, when I read/heard about the Sneetches it just clicked for me and made sense. The stupidity of looking at somebody for how they are born as different and not an equal made a lot of sense. I think the impact this story had on me is what Dr. Seuss was working for, and I hope he knew his stories made a difference before he passed.
